According to UK media reports, large confectionery manufacturers are cutting the size of chocolate bars to preserve profits in the face of the UK VAT increase and high ingredients costs.

Reportedly, Nestlé and Cadbury are some of the producers that have minimized the size of their biggest brands with Cadbury’s Dairy Milk being reduced to 120g from 140g. The company claims it is only providing consumers with more
choice.
