New flavour combinations from Skittles
Wrigley’s Skittles is mixing it up with the launch of Crazy Cores, a variety of surprising new flavour combinations in each sweet. Worth £19m and accounting for over half (55%) of the Fruit Chews Category, Skittles will be rolling out Crazy Cores and supporting the launch with a multi-media marketing campaign.
Currently growing above the sugar confectionery category at +25% YTD, Skittles is the sixth largest fruit confectionery brand in the UK. The new variety combines fruity favourites with new tastes, including flavours such as Blue Raspberry & Lemon, Strawberry & Watermelon, Cherry Lemonade and Mango & Peach.
The new product launch will be supported by the return of ‘Tim’ and the ‘Midas Touch’ television ad, which will hit screens again for three weeks in October, online advertising and new POS.
Skittles Crazy Cores are available in 174g and 55g packs. RRP is £1.28 & 42p as the original SKU’s.
